A senior Indonesian official said that the country will host an international conference on epidemiology to share its experience in tackling infectious and non-infectious diseases, local media reported here on Saturday.
"Indonesia has lots of experience that can be shared with countries in the world as we face many health problems and diseases [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Health Ministry director general of disease control and environmental health Tjandra Yoga Aditama said on Friday.
The Sixth Training Program in Field Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Network (Tephinet) Southeast Asia and Western Pacific Bi-regional Scientific Conference will take place from Nov. 8 to 11 in Nusa Dua, Bali [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Jakarta Post reported.
Tephinet [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a global epidemiology network, aims to support its two member organizations, the Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP) and the Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (FELTP), in tackling obstacles in the implementation of epidemiology to cope with public health problems.
